Packaging Design

I’m excited to showcase two pieces from my collection as a packaging designer for a Boulder outdoors and recreation company, Nite Ize. These projects highlight my skills in visual storytelling, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence. Each design reflects my passion for creating visually engaging and impactful packaging that resonates with consumers and elevates the product experience.

Project 1

BigFoot Locker Keyrack

This is a Key accessory product at Nite Ize and was one of the more notable projects I was able to work on. Below is a outline of the process that I used while creating this.

    • I was brainstorming sets for the shoot. This product was rolling out a new product color, and I wanted to showcase this really well.

    • Meet with the photographer before the shoot to discuss details and my creative direction vision.

    • Helped with photoshoots and different product shots needed for marketing or other internal purposes.

    • Translations are needed for this product in French, German, and Spanish.

    • Barcodes are received from the engineering team and are added in the final stages of the packaging approval process.

    • Update Design: We need to update the new package design norms and new logo.

    • Eco Staples

    • Zip ties

    • Staples

    • Product samples

    • Final review with creative director and marketing manager.

    • Once approval is received package up files and send to printer in China.

My job isnt done

After successfully shipping die lines for packaging to printers in China, I took on the role of editing images for our marketing team. Collaborating closely with them, I ensure our visuals are not only eye-catching but also align with our brand identity. With each approval received, I'm one step closer to bringing our products to the forefront of the market.

Next, I log barcodes and product numbers, which are crucial for our engineering team's work. By meticulously organizing and transmitting this data, I played a vital role in streamlining our production process and ensuring accuracy in our product development cycle.

Last I make a dedicated page in our company product workbook using Adobe InDesign. This involves compiling all product information and meticulously arranging it alongside still shots showcasing the packaging design. By ensuring every detail is accurately represented, I contribute to maintaining a comprehensive and visually appealing resource for our team and clients alike.
